Non-fiction Book Group

With a few friends I recently started a Book Group to read non-fiction books and meet once a month on a Friday evening. On the agenda so far (but not necessarily read by all!): -
We might think about sometimes operating on the way some other book group work, which is by sharing books, reading them sequentially, and then discussing when everyone has read them.

For the future: -
  • Honorable Friends: Parliament and the Fight for Change by Caroline Lucas MP
  • If we decide not to buy books for each of us maybe we could just rely on internet resources like YouTube, eg Positive Money's 4 minute video (the one that starts with Natalie Bennett and is on the front page at www.positivemoney.org)
  • How Nonviolent Struggle Works by Gene Sharp: the 168-page "short" version is a free download and the Preface is shown below
